Home for Sale

When we bought our "Vintage Farmhouse" over eight years ago, I thought this was our final home...alas things change.

Now our youngest is off to college and our home seems a little too big for us...never thought we would be downsizing, considering how I love to decorate and the amount of stuff I love to collect. I guess the need to simplify comes with age...I want a smaller home, less stuff, easier to maintain and more time and money to travel.

I still have mixed feelings, I love this home, but I'm ready for a new adventure...maybe next time we'll live in a vintage "Vintage Farmhouse".

Helena Christensen

Helena Christensen, the supermodel/photographer from Denmark, is a true Bohemian...her homes (she has a house in New Zealand and an apartment in NYC) are filled with eclectic collections from around the world, well worn furniture and a comfortable "laid back" attitude.

She also looks fabulous for 44!

Tracey Porter

I love this home! Tracy Porter is one of my favorite designers, her home is filled with elegant, eclectic, rustic and colorful items...she calls it "soulful nesting". You never know what you may find...a saddle in the living room, a dog on the sofa, a chicken on the dresser, goats in the kitchen or maybe an alpaca on the patio...

Florida Beach House

This month Traditional Home Magazine features a renovated beach house in Florida. Stephanie Carter, founder of her own fashion house,  Judith March, was  content to live in a dated ’80s beach house a block from the Gulf in Seagrove, an older waterfront village. When the time came to update, she turned to Paige Sumblin Schnell, a designer at Tracery Interiors.

“We met through mutual friends who owned a local wine bar, I loved her shop in Rosemary Beach, and then we realized we grew up 40 miles apart in rural Alabama. It was a perfect fit. I gave Paige my vision. She took it and ran."
