Bohemian

The New York Times featured the Bohemian home of Ian and Emilie Irving. I love the colorful and eclectic assortment of collectables surrounded by a simple white background.

"The house’s plain facade hides an interior that is at once urbane and bohemian, combining the informal lines of an American farmhouse with the most inviting elements of a charming English place, including an idyllic garden. Theirs is an effortless mix, the kind of style that only people with truly great taste can pull off. Ian, a prominent dealer of rare silver, and Emilie, who sells antique ethnic textiles, costumes and jewelry, have been slowly transforming the modest house over the past five years with objects, furniture and fabrics they’ve collected together, and some that they’ve culled from previous lives. Judging from the detritus on their lawn, even their throwaways are chic."

Cooper's Farmhouse

Looking to rent a vacation home?

Cooper's Farmhouse  ..." is a serene luxury residence located 2 hours from New York City on the border of Pennsylvania and NY State in Shohola, PA. Shohola is Native American meaning peace and tranquility. This property is situated on 5 pastoral acres, overlooking the Catskills of New York. The Farm is a newly renovated 1866 boarding house which was historically used to board patrons of the former Shohola Falls Glenn amusement park which, in its hey day, brought thousands of people each weekend at the turn of the century. This luxury home sleeps a 12 people (this includes infants & children…we do not accommodate more than 12 total).

There is a massive gourmet kitchen-living area and spa-like bathroom on the first floor. On the second floor there are 4 queen sized beds and 2 twin sized pillow-top beds in addition to another two massive bathrooms. The third floor is the en suite bedroom, complete with a king sized bed and spa bathing room with a massive window overlooking the property.

You'll wake up to fresh pastoral country air every morning. You can hike, kayak, paint, cook or just do nothing!"

Historic Home

This North Carolina Home found at Curbed is a pleasantly restored "turn of the century charmer". Standout original details include diamond-pane windows, Victorian doors, sliding barn doors, tongue-and-groove wood-paneled walls and ceilings. The home's historic integrity has been kept intact including a generous wraparound porch...love it!
