My "New" Sofa

I love the look of a vintage sofa and have always wanted to have one in my home. I even did a post on this subject about a year ago...my family was less than enthusiastic about changing out our current sofa.

So when Hubby and I saw this pretty little thing at the antique mall for a very good price, newly reupholstered in a really pretty Ralph Lauren fabric, we (meaning me) knew the perfect place for it...

Step it up-The Bedroom

It's time for some changes...the bedroom is way too matchy-matchy. We spent years with very little bedroom furniture, just a bed and one night stand. We kept items that would normally go into a dresser in baskets and everything was hidden in the closet.

When we had to move to Germany our system no longer worked. Very few homes in Germany have closets. They instead have shranks (large armoire). I would have loved to purchase some beautiful antiques, but we needed something quickly and on a small budget.

I like our bedroom set, it's just not so much my taste anymore...set's of anything are not my thing. So I fell in love with this beautiful nightstand...the details really pop now that's painted.

I need a new bedskirt!

Now I need to convince Hubby that we need to change out a couple more pieces!

Below is another small change in the bedroom, it looks very scary at this point...red paint takes sooo many coats, next time I'm splurging on the "one coat coverage paint". I'll show this soon...I hope ;)
