Remember "Bess" before?
The drawers were too damaged to salvage
Updated Mud Room (a farmhouse must have!)
All we did was add a shelf and paint the inside (sorry, no picture). The outside needed a little cleaning and some "new" old knobs. My mother-in-law made the cute skirt from an old piece of bark clothe.
I took the old window coverings (vintage tablecloth) from the dining room and put them here in the mud room.
Now the room seems a little more inviting, since this is where almost everyone enters our home.

"Bess" looks really good, and what a nice update you made to the mud room. It is true - living in the country side this is definitely where most people enter the house.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOUR SWEET LITTLE TABLE. THE VINTAGE FABRIC IS PERFECT!
ReplyDeleteLove how you 'met' the fabric pattern repeat in at the center. Nice detail!
ReplyDeleteLove all the vintage you've got going! The barkcloth type fabric curtain and bag are too cute. Love the tablecloth idea for a curtain too. It all looks fabulous!

Hi!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog from the link party at Miss Mustard Seed's. Love your project; especially the use of the vintage fabric. I'd like to know more about the cork wreath above the cabinet. Looks really interesting. After reading your blog for a bit; I realize we are kindred spirits. I'm a new follower!
Really nice!!! Visiting you from Miss Mustard Seed's linky.
ReplyDeleteA perfect solution for your drawer problem. I'm a huge fan of the turquoise paint color. Nicely done!
ReplyDeletePerfect solution! It looks great! And I love your wall color. It looks real close to my living room and dining room color. Everything looks good on it, doesn't it?
