House Tour to Wow You

I just took the most incredible home tour! I am totally wowed.

This very creative home belongs to artist Elizabeth Chapman from Austin, TX and I found it at Apartment Therapy . Check it out for more photos and check out Elizabeth Chapin's site.

This is the kind of home I love, a home that really shows off the personality of the people who live in it. Thank you Elizabeth for allowing me to feature your home, it really has been an inspiration!

Nantucket House

This is just the kind of store I love to visit...to collect design ideas!

"Located in the heart of Nantucket, Nantucket House Antiques has been a leading dealer of fine English and American antiques and decorative accessories for over a quarter century. Originally founded as a family business in 1973 in an 1820 Quaker House located at 8 Fair Street, Nantucket House now operates from a historic structure built in 1830. The shop is located at 2 South Beach Street directly across from the Nantucket Yacht Club, within walking distance to local ferry service."

When you put all this together, you get a home that looks like this...

Simple Table Redo

I scored at Goodwill! Four tables, all less then $8 each. Now I can spend as much time as I want revamping and still sell them at a great price...

It's in good shape, except for that nasty finish...

I used a new paint color Martha Stewart Persimmon Red. I bought a "tester" size and still have some left over. I really like this faded red look.

I'm still working on the other great deals and I still have many more pieces that need work. The weather around here has been in the 90's with 90% humidity...HOT! So I have been doing more shopping than revamping, but I'm not complaining because the summers go by so fast in Maine...

I think I'll name her "Percy".
