Coastal Living Cottage
Someday I would love to build a home...a small farmhouse that lives large and filled with vintage details. This plan from Southern Living has all this and more.

A New Orlean's Eclectic Home
Tia Elders’ 1,500-square-foot home in the French Quarter is filled with color, whimsy and a sense of humor...
Retro salon chairs with bullet-shaped hair-dryer hoods rub elbows with a Victorian settee, cheeky portraits of monkeys, family antiques and favorite quotes from Alice in Wonderland. “I love color, and I love things with history,” she says. “I love things that have had a whole history before I get them. They have a heartbeat of their own. And if it’s something that makes you smile or makes you giggle, that’s important.”
Tia's home is featured in the Fall 2011 issue of New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles and the August 2007 issue of New Orleans Homes Lifestyles

California Farmhouse
This California Napa Valley farmhouse designed by Howard Backen is open, bright and spacious. I like the one-big-open great room design.
With a few changes this farmhouse design would work in Maine...

Mixed Tile
I'm loving this "mixed tile" look, it's a great way to save money or make a limited supply go a long way.
