Tole Painted Dresser

I bought this dresser last summer and it's been sitting in my basement waiting for a home. My family thinks it's ugly, but I think it's beautiful (a common occurance). So my son helped me bring it upstairs and we moved it into every room, trying to find a place for it...

no luck finding it a home...so it sits in my front hall. I don't want to sell it because I'm afraid I'll regret it later.

Now we will haul it up to the attic and use it for storage. Someday a spot will open up...

Does this happen to other people?!

  2. Happens all the time especially with fabric. Golden rule is that if you love it you will find the perfect spot or perfect owner one day.

  3. This happens to me too. You'll find it a place eventually. It is a good contrast in your entry, too bad it doesn't fit there. You'll find a home for it. My family finds my taste questionable as well, paticularly my husband, but he usually comes around in the end.

  10. I love it - the color is fabulous!

I hear you on not wanting to part with it. I see the most amazing furniture but know I have no place to put it so I usually end up leaving it there!

Your son hates this and your mom in law hates your tarnished silver!! Glad you're not listening!

  12. Oh my gosh! It is gorgeous!!! I can't see what you have on the wall behind it in the front entry, but would it work to replace it with this stunning piece? Convenient too for spare purses or gloves etc. OR you could sell it to me! :) I'm following you on LF...hope you'll follow me too! Little Bit from DecorateWithaLittleBit.com
