Interior Alchemy

Is it the chandelier, artwork, maybe the patterned lamp shade? I know the green walls have a lot do with it.

This room actually reminds me of my dressing room...it needs serious organization, but I like all the great details. Wallpaper, books, vintage fabric are all great pieces of inspiration just waiting to be put to good use.

Vintage Eclectic Style

What is it about a room that catches your eye and makes you take in every detail? This cottage is full of interesting objects. I like the eclectic assortment of furnishings and the colorful fabrics. This is no "model home" and that's what I like best about it.

The design duo Anthony Baratta and William Diamond have completed a very colorful kitchen in Connecticut. Red counter tops, checkered ceiling, stenciled floor, this design team has "no fear" when it comes to color.

Unordinary Tableware

I had to do a double take when I first saw these plates...

They are plates made to look like they are fused together, but they are actually one plate.

The company Seletti is based in Italy and they specialize in innovative household products. A few stores in the states carry these products, just check out the Seletti website.

Thrifting

Look at what I found at Goodwill...I know they might not look like much now, but with a little paint, crystals (I have a large supply) and rewiring...

and these beauties only cost $15 each!

This chandelier (below) was almost $1000, I absolutely love it, but I also love saving money.

More Stripes

I like stripes and I think they look great on this vintage dresser... with very little going for it other than those cute little legs with wheels.  I've rolled this into the shop and it's for sale, actually all my striped furniture I've painted is for sale. I'll now be painting stripes on something I don't plan to sell!

Sorry about the glare, but I'm happy whenever I remember to take a "before" picture and those bright eyes belong to Jasper. Jasper is our very vocal four legged family member and yes his eyes are usually huge.
