SEDUCTIVE INTERIORS By Sera Hersham-Loftus
"The innovator of The Seductive and Bodouir trend, this maverick decorator begins by showing us her early room designs, enabling us to see the evolution of this delightfully exotic style.Intoxicating mixtures of crumbling antique furniture sit together with retro pieces alongside a tasteful mixture of paintings, both modern and master. Huge blown up black and white photos of her favourite rock stars and beautiful women give all her room sets a look of being more than a little wild around the edges. We will see that dark salons as well as very light ones can be just as seductive using Sera’s enchanting soft lighting. You will see her suggestions on decorations for Seductive Rendez-vous, Retreats and Travel. She will give you guidelines to create your own Moody and Magnificent Parlours, and Soft Focus Salons. She shows you how to create real emotions by designing rooms that are so exquisite and playful you will not want to depart."
I have always loved the Gypsy, Vintage, Bohemian look and find myself wanting to push the limits of this style in my personal wardrobe and home decorating. Every morning I pin on My Pinterest Board with things I want to wear, put in my home, find amusing and inspiring. Sometimes surprising myself in the items I fall in love with. When I found this book while perusing the book store I felt like I found something that speaks to me with my new look and attitude.

Betsey Johnson is an American fashion designer best known for her feminine and whimsical designs. Many of her designs are considered over the top and embellished. She also is known for doing a cartwheel at the end of her fashion shows (the woman is 70 years old!).
Betsey saw her empire (including 63 retail stores) slip into bankruptcy last year, yet she remains the creative director for her brand and now stars in her own reality show on Style Network. I love this lady (watch her show) and her home reflects her free spirit and her ~girls just wanna have fun~ attitude.

My results are Farmhouse Glam
"Farmhouse Glam is the delicate, exquisite balance between beautiful femininity and rustic nonchalance. She's all about the discovery of unexpected sparkle amidst the less polished. She wears high heels and a denim jacket, a string of pearls and bare feet. And her home feels as special as it does comfortable. Farmhouse Glam is very approachable elegance, layering texture rather than color to create a look that is modern and rustic. Chandeliers above picnic tables. Ornate candlesticks alongside weathered pieces. Mix and match upholstered chairs, metal stools or benches around your dining table."
