Dining Room Chairs

I love an eclectic look and one of the easiest ways to achieve this...don't match your dining room chairs with the table. Sets of furniture can be a little boring and predictable. What do you think?

Latest Vintage Finds

It has been a few days since I last posted, computer issues, I was not able to upload any images!? Hopefully the problem has been fixed.

These are a few of my latest finds...

The lamp is wonderful but the lampshade was in bad shape, I think I can find a black shade that will pull it together.

Hubby thinks this looks like a block of wood, but it's actually a hat mold. I have wanted to collect these for years and now I have my first one.

The sailboat is made from cow horn and I love the color. My oil cans are also a new collection (like a really need more).

These cute vintage chairs are going to my booth. I love children furniture, but I have no room for it in my home...I really have a hard time parting with some of my finds.

New England Home

Dark brown walls and orange accents are not colors usually associated with a New England beach home, but Jim Gauthier has created a vacation home with a mixture of unexpected touches and traditional beach accents "I wanted the house to be super comfortable, so no one would ever worry about putting a glass on a table. Nothing is precious”

Apartment Therapy Home

I regularly check out the homes featured at Apartment Therapy. Sometimes the home has so many wonderful ideas and design that I re post...it's the easiest way for me to revisit time and again.

This is the home of Hollie Wood (real name?!) a designer, collector and stylist from North Carolina. I love how she combines all her wonderful flea market finds into a warm and cozy home.

Paper Roses

Can you believe these roses are made out of paper?

Noel Solomon is the designer and you can see more at Fanciful Designs . I would love to use some of these over scale flowers to add a little drama to a room.

Local Real Estate

Eclectic design is my favorite, old mixed with new and formal with informal. This historic town house has been completely restored with very modern touches and the results are a fun, on-of-a-kind home.
